Thank you for that, and for another excellent :read:

Nice report Hog.
If your overheating, do you slow the bus down to 100Mhz? It might slow clock cycles but it will still crunch.
Thats what i do in a heat wave. (although it been rather cold in ohio :) )
keep on crunchin team

:) And our newest moderator too :cowboy: [I wonder if I'll get busted for spewlling typos...?]
Well Hogward :cowboy:, as Moderator and Daily Reporter too... this should put a crunch in you're roaming the streets at night, hmmmmm...
Congrat's Meady... we should give you an award for "being around so long" or "living long and properous" :D ... you were active when I joined the team 1.5 years ago, and before if my Tardis clock is right ;) hmmmmm, how about the "oldest living SETi cruncher on Team NM-TNG" :p  ;) :D that sound about right....
And r9b, can you believe these UK chaps "don't" have air-conditioning... (?) no wonder they can spring for all of their computers... then it's tooooooooooo hot tooooo crunch
While we run up our e- bills just too crunch
Well :cowboy: Hogward :cow: we'll be looking towards some very moderated daily reports... in the future ;) congrats.... doc :spot:

We must continue the push for adding new members and revitalizing existing ones so we can forge ahead. Ever onwards and upwards, Ninjas!!
We know how to attract new members, we need to post a little more on the SETI website. There are lots of crunchers without a team e.g. (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/fcgi-bin/fcgi?email=stephenm@realtime.net&cmd=user_stats_new) who might decide to join. (Please don’t send this guy an email asking him to join). All you need is a few mins while you are drinking that nice cup of hot tea (I running really short of P.G. Tips guess I need a supply run back to the UK) or coffee.
Doc, I checked your post tree or four times and it doesn’t appear to have any tpyos or sleeping mistooks.
AC in the UK. All UK cars are fitted with 240 AC 2 windows down 40 m.p.h. No one I know has it at home and 99% of the houses are not constructed to allow it to be fitted.

 my typos, as you know, I placed a "w" in the phrase: "spewlling-typos" ... so you got even with your own  touche` m8
I had never given it any thought that the UK was so cold [most of the time] that you chaps wouldn't need A/C; but since you are here, and down south as I recall, I'll bet that you are being air-conditioned as I type, hmmmmm....?
We call [use to] our old auto A/C: WD55 =windows down @ 55mph... then we were finally allowed to raise our speed limits to a more logical and enjoyable level
Well it's a spot tacky to send an email to someone "already" on a team, in order to try and "poach" him... but that's exactly what gypseyman did, almost 2 years ago. I was number one in the Lockergnome SETi Team, and bored. I checked out the then [whole] picard team, and after a few weeks of watching, decided to make the jump... 'never have regreted the move, save the time that the team split into two parts [what a waste] earlier this past winter, but to each his own, eh m8...?
Anyway, I don't think it would be too cheeky to send a "loner" an email, "inviting him/her/them" to join the team... cause you're really not poaching them, and, you'd be giving them the BB's and all of the knowledge here, on running SETi at maximum possible results. These things I learned since joining, as I was using the the "P-R-E-T-T-Y" GUI version... hence my times are so slow, and I have so many years. Had I know now, what I know, back in May 1999, when I started crunching, I'd be way ahead of David Whitney [not that he couldn't/wouldn't have eventually passed me with all of his assets, as I am strictly a home cruncher]....
Once again, having been nipped to join the team, back then, has helped my stats, dare I say: astromomically
But I understand the diplomacy, and the and carefulness that must be used, lest we disenchant the other teams [even though they do it, does not mean we should].... Gentlemen we are, and so shall we remain.... but the unattached I think would enjoy the noterity, if nothing else, by receiving a post, asking them to join....
I know I did... it was fascinating that someone would go through the team listings and send me an email. I accepted it as a compliment, nothing negative at all... and now I am here, before and after the fall. :spot:
It's a fine line, as you know, as you and I both, crunch for two [different] teams... alas tactfullness is employed by you and I... as we both reach for the sky.... I'm glad you're here Bob, and Farley, and Hog' and the rest of the refugees from TSU... our BB's allow you to do so much more, and I think, you UK chaps are a good lot, and I'm certainly glad to know you, it only as an E-friend.
It all works out, water seeking the bottom type thing... everyone has a place... it may not be the first or second or third... but as one becomes educated in the ways of SETi teams, sooner or later, you find the ONE... that has "what it means" to stay and be an ACTIVE member.
If only more crunchers would be alienated by the TSU antics, and come settle down here, I think we could have some fun. Not that I am slamming TSU, as they are way ahead of us, I do not speak for NM-TNG, I only speak for me [now]: give us your weary, your poor, your wounded, your newbies and we'll gladly teach them the ins & outs of SETi and the manners adults use in corresponding with one another... more's the shame, that not all people feel the same... hence we have all seen "flame-wars" and there I do not wish to go... a waste of time, even for a lord, time-lord that is.... God bless you all, and my best to the rest -doc
