Unified Math update for 09-Jun-2003 to 10-Jun-2003

WooHoo! After a not moving up yesterday in OGR-24 at all, today we moved up two places … and firmly broke the Top 40 barrier on production that was only 1/3 of yesterday. I don’t know about anybody else, but the atmosphere in OGR-24 is beginning to be quite rarefied! … and I like it!!!!!!! :woot:

As I have mentioned earlier today, I have some extra OGR-24 stubs that I will not be able to use like I thought I would … so if anybody has an interest please send me a PM including an email addy and I will send some on. So far I have had only one person take me up on the offer and I’d really like to make sure that Ninja benefits from these stubs. Historically OGR stubs do not age out for quite a while but given Dnet’s desire to finish the project quickly … I don’t know.

We’ve also been moving up rapidly in Zeta recently and that is beginning to reap big dividends in the DCI rankings. 17oB was slow for a while but we’ve moved up 7 places in three days and look to move up another in the next day!

OGR-25 – well we are moving up but so far slowly due to the great number of OGR-24 stubs we’ve been fortunate to acquire but yesterday OGR-25 put in more units than OGR-24. We’ve passed 1.5 million Gnodes in OGR-25 and have only 1.1 million Gnodes to go before catching Picard in the last of the Dnet projects. Go Team!

In brief … another very positive day on the Math front. Oh … there is one more crunch that is not listed below … because it is a team crunch. We passed TechIMO in the DCI-M rankings (as well as in 17oB). Next target is Free-DC in Math … in the overall rankings our next target is OC Australia. It’s a good question as to which team we will pass first … I’m betting on passing OC Australia first … but who knows.

Another great :read: 10 - thanks for that!

Well done to everyone - another splendid day's effort! :D

and you did miss it, but you're forgiven, considering the effort you put into these commentaries....:D

Ok m8s! ... I did a little experimenting with color. Rather than saying "in OGR-25" I changed it to italized, in parentheses, and in color ... (OGR-25) ... and tried to give each project it's own color.

Comments on how that looks versus they old way? Comments in general? I'm particularly interested in readability, as well as general look, as I know that more than one Ninja member has had difficulties in this area.

Thanks,
10

Looks good, except for the OGR-25 &17oB, which is very hard to see against the blue background, but I suppose that depends on which format you view NM in - I use Neo-Ninja.

Mind you, I am colour-blind.........:o

Thanks Meady ... I use the default backgrounds and that is what I tried to match against as a starting point. I'm wondering whether bolding it would be of assistance ...

colour-blind ... yes that would have a definate impact wouldn't it? (My brother and father are/were fully colour-blind, my sister is partially colour-blind so I do sympathize)

I think bold would certainly help, although it's a PITA when you're creating the thread (all those "{b}{/b}")

I'm not seriously affected (I can differentiate between the colours on traffic lights :D ), but I find the default background (or any really light background) causes eyestrain. That's why I like NM so much - nice big fonts, and a good selection of darker backgrounds. :D

Gotta agree with meady tho i'm not colorblind (at least I thought so until now ;) )

The blue on blue is almost impossible to read on this laptop... :)

Tnx again 10 :) Top class read :xohyes:
I'll take some 24 stubs if nobody else wants any , would hate to see them go to waste.

Colour wise blue is good for me, green is the problem one .
I guess it will be hard to please on that front.

Sorry! I've corrected it and added your two crunches as well!!

.... Note to self ... stop doing commentaries when sleep-deprived .... wait ... that won't work, I'd never do any at all then ... ;)

Well I have a healthy head start,
but come DF2 I will be toddling my processing power over to DF for a while to rebuild my current position, so you should be able to pass me in all the Dnet projects then....

Of course I will then come back to Dnet and rethwack you..... (albiet quietly so you don't notice and crush my puny fleet!)

Come DF2 You WILL need all the power you can get by stealing bribing and treats, my dear adversary...:) I'm NOT giving you a 6 months head start on this one....:D
