Weekly Math roundup, 10-Jun-2003

First of all let me say that this review is subject to my memory. Some things are easy to ascertain and some are just going to have to be from pure memory. If I forget something … or claim something this week that was actually earlier, please post a correction. This is intended to be a weekly wrap-up of what has transpired in the “other” math projects and in lieu of solid historical data (I certainly haven’t been keeping it!!) you are just going to have to rely on my elderly, swiss-cheese remembrances … ;)

In brief I can say this … we are doing great!

The team has been doing well. We have taken the #4 position in RSA576 and we will try like heck to keep it (not withstanding the assault by US-Distributed … (anybody know who the heck they are???). After a very long stint at the #67 position in 17oB we have finally started to make some headway (courtesy of a new client and some tweaking of the server and port for reporting results). Perhaps our biggest rise has come in ZetaGrid where Radar has been leading the way. Both Ars Technica and Dutch Power Cows are not too far away and a sub-40 ranking is achievable within the week methinks! ECC2 continues to be our b****** step-child project, with 6 contributers and no one to lead the way … every team has a project like that … if only we could get Team SciFi to merge with us … ;)

...

...

ok, what I really mean ... is I wish we could assimilate Team SciFi ... to heck with merging ... :D :D

Team Ranking
RSA576 - 4 (+1)
17oB - 62 (+5)
ZetaGrid - 56 (+14)

Another nice report 10:13, I also note I'm going to have to teach that tsimri a lesson :D

I'd also like to take this oppurtunity to point out one further project:
