Dnet update for 07-Jun-2003 to 09-Jun-2003
You couldn’t get any closer to moving up a spot in OGR-24 and not make it … well you could have, just barely … we were only 116 units away from a crunch! All three teams scored in the Top 50 yesterday and that is always a feat to be mentioned! :woot:
The milestones are starting to slow down a bit as members start reaching higher echelons, but there are still plenty to be mentioned and there were a total of 6 crunches in the last two days (3 by Ragnarog alone!)

Well, there is no doubt about it. Ragnarog is a crunching machine recently. Over the last two days he has added three more crunches to his rather glowing collection of victims. All the crunches over the past two days have been in RC5, befitting our concentration there.
Crunches
Ragnarog crunches Longest Highway in RC5-72 (June 7)
Nanobot crunches wylie (June 8) in OGR-25
Farley crunches Retired (June 8) in RC5-72
Ragnarog crunches Patrick Parker and Sydney Freedman (June 8) in RC5-72
wylie crunches Tweety (June 8) in RC5-72

Ok crunchers and crunchettes … we need to come up with a different target for our OGR goals. I have it on good authority that the last remnants of Picard that might have been interested in the Math arena are no longer interested.
There aren’t that many teams ahead of us in OGR-24 (isn’t that a blast!!!) and many are not teams that compete elsewhere in DC much. Anyway here are a couple of ideas based upon the list ahead of us in OGR-24. 1) Prof. James Challis' Most Excellent UK Team … currently #25 in OGR-24 and #27 in OGR-25 … haven’t been doing much in OGR-24 but are really kicking some *** in 25 (almost 100K yesterday and totaling over 34 million … 2) Free-DC … #24 in 24 and #211 in 25 … and soundly spanked us yesterday in both projects … 3) Rx3 Distributed Team, 34th in OGR-24 and 67th in OGR-25 … but near as I can tell an almost dead team. They would give us a target to shoot for and not much else.
Personally, I’ve no idea. I’d just as soon keep Picard in OGR-25 (I still have a hankering to pass them, the sooner the better) and choose Prof. James Challis' Most Excellent UK Team for OGR-24 because they are still way far in front of us and still active. Other suggestions are warmly welcomed!
