Math update for 18-May-2003 to 19-May-2003

Well!!! And a busy day it was here in the Math contingent! What the heck should we talk about first? First? Well all the teams did well! IN OGR-24 Vinovia delivered some of his never-ending supply of OGR-24 stubs (at least I hope they are never-ending!) and slipped by me in the world rankings (to #280). No team movement but as I’ve said before there are three teams very close. Go Vin!

OGR-25 – the team was #45 for the day worldwide and this was from production all across the team. Meady led the pack with an stunning 11K dump and 6 other members added their two pence worth for a total of just over 30K and a rise of 12 places in the standings! We are getting very close to the magical Top 500! Something to note is that the team we are chasing finally had some production! This may become a race yet!

In RC5 we had a much better day, placed 78th for the day and actually not losing ground to Picard. Still this is the one area that we could use a pick me up in after having dropped three places yesterday. Ah well … *takes a quick look at the VISA balance …. Hmmmm … looks at newegg.com for chip prices …. Hmmmm ….*

Now in our newest team we had a truly banner day, a rise of 11 places to number 85. I’m afraid that will be the last of the double digit rises and we may soon have days where we do not rise at all. However, we were the #10 producer for the day and that’s nothing to be ashamed of! Also, I had sent a note off to Dave Bercik who runs DC Repository. We should show up tomorrow as running this project. Not likely to move us up any places yet but it should be helpful in the long run.

Beyond that, the team now officially has an ECC2 team and I am working on getting a team set up in the RSA576 project as well. I am already set up as a user in the project (with about 350 units credited). Due to the way DC Repository calculates values for participation … it seems a last place finish in such a small project might actually be worth more than our current work in RC5 … if you can believe it. It’s a method of encouraging participation in lots of projects and in the smaller ones.

Wow - what an excellent :read: that was - thanks 10! :D

A Special Citation!

More projects to crunch, so my advancement may slow a bit now, but who cares if it benefits Team Ninja as a whole!

Onwards and upwards, Ninja - in everything!
