Just testing running the client on my windows machine at work, and of course have firewall difficulties (expected). Until netadmin opens up the port (or other solution).. my client has 'Loaded random'

now the question is of course will the buff-out results be valid? when will I know the buff-out is full ? and is it as straightforward as emailing the result file home..flushing home buffers, copying the sneakernetted buff-out into dnet folder and flushing again ?

Squeaky,
You can set the client to connect on port 80 or 443 to bypass firewall problems.

As I understand if the client can't connect to get new units it does random units. As this is the first part of this project there is a very small chance of any dups so random;s are ok now.

If you set the connect port to 80 or 443 you may be able to connect though.

It's easy just to email your buff-in.r72 to your work email and plop it into your dnet directory on your works machine.

Do the same in reverse and email your buff-out.r72 to your home email address and plop it into your dnet directory then flush them.
