Hello all,
10:13 and I were discussing the possibility of putting together a team meeting online to discuss things like Team Recruitement, etc. Please post here if you would be interested in attending this, and if you would be able to do something as early as tomorrow night, Friday, the 8th, and if not, what time/day would be best for you. Thanks!
Talon and 10:13.

oh ok! lol, that's fine. I was hoping to get around 830pm EST or so, give or take. Would that be ok with everyone?

I assume this will require using Net-conferencing or something similar?
If this is the case, I can probably get a webcam and microphone/headset set up by tomorrow night.
Are we going to use something like "MSN Netmeeting" or do you all have a specialist program that I can get installed ASAP?
TIA.
Meady, who's looking forward to "seeing" you all in real-time.

Actually, I was thinking about using something as simple as our current chat room, or maybe AIM chat, or whatever. I hadn't even really thought about using a webcam to be honest, and I'm not sure that for a large meeting (more than 3-4 people) a webcam would be ideal. Not that I wouldn't want to see some of my friends here, but I just don't know if it would be doable.

Oops! :o
I'm all for chatting, although I do believe that AIM chat has been disabled for a while now, so it would have to be here.
/Meady stops looking at webcams....

Hey everyone,
Unfortunately I don't think I will make it myself tonight. I am not feeling well at all, and will most likely just being turning in early. I know I set this up, and I apologize, but please don't let this deter you from having the meeting. 10:13 has an idea of what we wanted to discuss, particularly ways of bringing in new members. If it doesn't happen tonight, then we can discuss another night to pull this off.
Again, I apologize for my absense.

No worries, Mike.
Get yourself to bed - your health must take precedence over anything else, m8.

Connection Difficulties
If you are having difficulties getting online one of our chat clients, this check-list may help you determine exactly what the problem is, and how to resolve it. The majority of our users have no trouble at all connecting.
Secondly, ensure that your computer is capable of running our software. Chances are most likely that your computer can run our chat software. Often times; however; users may disable a specific feature on their web browser that may cause problems. Ensure the following features are enabled on your computer's web browser:
Java™
If you are running a version of a Microsoft Windows, or a BSD/*NIX variant ™ and see only a broken link icon, you will need to download a copy of the Java™ Virtual Machine in order to run our application. You may download Java™ Support for your browser from the link below:
Sun Java™ Plugin (for Netscape, Opera, MSIE, etc..)
We strongly recommend upgrading using the most modern version of your web browser available today. Certain browsers (esp. Netscape 5 and below) running on Macintosh platforms are not capable of running our software due to problems outside of our control. We recommend that Macintosh users use Netscape 7.0, or MSIE 5.x. As WebTV does not support Java™, WebTV users will not be able to access our chat rooms.
Users behind firewalls may need to inform their local IT/network administrator to allow TCP connections on port 8009 at client.sigmachat.com.
AOL Members: Some users have reported that the built-in AOL browser has difficulty connecting to our service, or does not load colors/emoticons properly. To resolve this, minimize your AOL connection, and use the Internet Explorer browser that came with your operating system to access our chat rooms.
You may also visit http://client.sigmachat.com for additional information pertaining to connection difficulties, as well as RaiderSoft's SigmaChat server status.

Needless to say, I gave up after checking all my settings. Tried it this morning, and it worked first time!
I've no idea what went wrong last night, but at least it's working now.
Roll on the next meeting!

Well, once again I apologize for the whole thing, but we can reschedule soon. I have also gotten permission to use another chat room that is alittle more private, not totally, but at least a semi, which I think is a better idea. We can hash out the date/time, and those team members that are interested in attending will be sent the link to the room. :D
