Well then, let me treat you to a sneak preview. I check with Admin, and they said OK a long as there are no links comprimised.

This is the pretty grafic that shows the chunching, oooo Doesn't seem be as resorce dependant as Seti 1's screen saver.

The image rotates and pitches, kinda like the openGL time Screensave in Windows

Here's a shot of how the client automatically caches WUs

There's a few more, like the list of boxes you have running the client and the WUs they've done, few others but pretty bland right now. Lemme know if you want to see the other.

Hey I wonder if I can start a Team Ninja Beta team??? hmmm..... hehe

I missed this thread! Yes we should start a team!! What do the powers that be think??

9th March 2003, 12:56 AM
I don't think we can add team member to the beta is the only thing. Would have to be exisiting beta testers. :(

9th March 2003, 01:01 AM
Yes, but it would be a start, I'm trying to restart right now.

Cheers Brian that looks good...

How do you become a beta tester?
I did read something over at Ars about it but thought Berkeley had enough testers.
If were able to start a beta team would this give us a head start over other teams? If so we would act like a beacon to members who wanted a team to join :)

9th March 2003, 01:06 PM
I'd like to get the team a head start on BOINC, but the recruitment phase of Beta testing is presently closed. Yes it would only be those who already had BOINC accts., for now.

I like the beacon idea!!!

9th March 2003, 01:11 PM
Hmmmm, I know someone else who just happens to have a Beta account . . . . I wonder who. ;)

9th March 2003, 01:12 PM

9th March 2003, 01:15 PM

I was just over the BOINC Site, and

March 3, 2003
Team creation is now working.

so look here

Team Creating is now disabled

and new update

I have looked in several Forums, and what i heard is that the Seti.Germany Account was createt last Week, so they thought that Berkeley openend the Side at a few hours sometimes.

Someting about the WU Size, Korkeborg a Beta Tester from Boinc said, that after the first download the 8 MB where splitting in several WUs.

here is a German Web Side wtih Boinc Information

and here are some Pages about the Beta Tests from Korkeborg

if there is an Interest i will try to translate this

and a new update here are the Teams that already registerd

and that are not only Beta Testers

just my thougt
