A Question About The Siggie's In Our Posts

:rolleyes: I may have missed something, been away a couple of days... but I'm curious, and I suspect it is an easily answered question, that will only show my befuddledness, so here goes:

(1) :confused: Why don't our signatures show up in every post, like the old days...?

(2) It seems like there may only be one siggie per thread, at times. :rolleyes:

(3) Is this just me... or is there work in progress that I missed by not reading something that I should have...?

(4) Of course it's 5:27 in the morning Thursday, FEB 27th, and I've been up all night... starting to hallucinate now, so I think I'll go to bed... but I had to work on me daleks... now maybe I can get back to 100+ per day... RL sometimes makes daleks disappear, ie: when your frau packs up and moves out = yehaw!!!

I can only confirm that they appear in the first post on any page..my only guess as to WHY is that this then allowed for larger sigs without crippling NM bandwidth and of course for all those poor members without broadband (but still have sig view enabled :D)...just a guess tho :)

It works like this: Each individual's first post in a thread will show their signature. Each additional post by that person in the same thread omits the signature. This helps save on bandwidth and load times. Hope that helps.

Most of the time...I forget about the Jurassic days when all I had was a dial-up. I still have a couple modems around the Tardis somewhere, for back up... but use my T1 connection over the DSL line to my Bat Cave. for the Tardis' daleks to reach SETi.... :wink:

I was seeing a recurring theme, as you both pointed out, and then Talon ploished it off, by explaining what I thought I had observed, but did know it to be so....

BTW: I broke into the top 1,000 SETi Crunchers ON the ENTIRE PLANET... two days ago; hence, out of the 4,271,801.00 SETi Crunchers on the Planet, I'm number #998 at the moment, or like close to 4,271,000.00 ahead of the rest of the world [except 888 and _Q_ of course... so Greystar was right = I made it....!!!!!!] :sunshine:

Congratulations ! to this !

I'm about to break into top 10.000 in the world soon (10453 at the moment) and this is one of mine
big goals before SETI1 ends, the other is to get to 10.000WUs and I may just make this also ! :)
