Hi Folks,
Just to let you all know that, in the very rare event of Hawkeye's proxy going offline, you can still obtain blocks from the following perproxy address. These will still go through Hawkeye's proxy, so they will appear in his excellent stats facility.
If you point your clients to meady.servebeer.com, you'll be able to obtain new blocks, and have your results ready to forward to Hawkeye's when it's back up.
This is not intended as anything other than a way for the Team to keep getting blocks should the principal Team's server go offline.

Thanks for the backup Meady. The only time i seem to lose connection is when my ip changes. Ive got to figure that out one day.

Good to know Meady!
Does the Dnet server go down often?
Should I be set up on the proxy instead?

The biggest advantage of using the proxies rather than a direct connection to dnet is that you will appear in Hawkeye's excellent stats, which update as often as the DF stats do!
This is far superior to dnet's own stats, which only update once a day, and his analysis of the work done is second to none, IMHO.
Have a look here (http://rok1.dyndns.org/rc5stats/byemail.html) to see what I mean!

I would be grateful if someone would test my proxy to make sure it's receiving properly.
If whoever does it can let me know if there's a problem, I can hopefully rectify it before the proxy's really needed.
TIA,
Meady.
P.S. This should also work for OGR as well. :D

RC5 stats update every 15 minutes and OGR updates every 20 minutes

It's dnet's stats server that tends to be the problem. It's very rare that you can't upload / download any units.
It's still best to use Hawk's proxy though as it's good to see what everybody else is doing without having to wait till 1:00 AM :)
Nice bakup Meady, I'll add it to the FAQ once it's been tested.

Can one of the Team please try my proxy, just to confirm that it is working properly?
Once I know that it is, I'll be a lot happier.
TIA.

Just uploaded and downloaded a single unit and everything seems okay, won't be able to tell whether they've passed through to Hawkeye's proxy so I'll give it another go tommorrow with a few more units.

Hi LB,
Thanks for that m8. It has worked, and the perproxy log shows that it received and sent successfully, both to/from you, and to/from Hawkeye's server. :D
Meady, the happy-chappie.
