Uploading in the Gallery

I tried to upload an image in the gallery, but all I get is a message that says "error uploading image". The file is 64kb, below the 100 max, and 800x600 res. Any ideas?

the first thing I notice when I look at the entrance to the photo gallery is that it appears to be *locked*...could this be an issue or has it always been like this?

If you're talking about the forum, it has always been locked, because you can't really post in there, it's just a link to the gallery.

UPDATE...actually, maybe not. I uploaded them, and it looked like they were there..but I can't see them listed anywhere!
