naked 2800+ on the way

i wuz able to negotiate a pretty good deal on a 2800+, CPU only, for $360 US.

still trying to get the elusive 3.0gig with the chiller.

should have the slug in about 6 daze.

update:

got her two days ago, will post and get into windows @3.0gig, 15x200, but existance is wobbly, but that was two days ago.

at first, 13.5x217, or 15x195 were completely stable. i have just been letting her run with the chiller 15+ hours per day, stressing once and awhile, then just letting her 'rest', then stressing again, then rest.

now at 15x197 and i have been able to lower the vcore .05, and no errors are popping up like before.

methinks another week or so and........damn.

now there are reports of new 2100+'s hitting 3.0gig, and for less than $100.

and the quest goes on for 3.0 or more stable, at least i got into windows @3.0 with an AMD product.

and welcome back, i was very nervous the last few daze.

you are going to have to wait another day, my gut feeling is it needs more burnin, however, it has been handling the 15x199, without any errors, since I did the change some four hours ago.

several restarts added to the mix to see if she would actually restart, that was a problem before, but even that little glitch is now gone.

so, i am just going to make you guys drool for another day, i am pretty confident she will do it this time around, problem is, will it be everyday stable cause i am sure i am at the very end of its clockability, and that usually leads to problems of some sort or another.
