one of the hell frustrating things a relative linux newb must come across is the dependencies asked for when trying to install RPM's....
does anyone know a simplified way to get all the sodding files needed without searching and downloading countless additional packages, only to find that each new package has MORE dependencies??
love linux, but this part sucks.....
cheers!

you could always try installing with the -nodep switch.
Only problem is if the dependancies are truely needed then your package may well not work.
Personally i'd rather compile my own from source than install from an RPM..... but then again I prefer winbloze to loonix for m home machine anyways :D

well these arent home machines running windows. You never know how deep the dependencies go till you start stacking 'em up.....I'll give the nodep a go and see if it runs....
what I'm asking is does anyone know of a decent library of these? rpmfind.net's search engine is pretty basic..
