well everone just installed audigy platinum and downloaded updated drivers and total destroyed my os would not run in safe mode would not go back to last restore point infack the only choice i had was to format c: and start again no6 dont known what the major error was still trying to find out os xp home ser pack 1 m/b k7n2 512mb 3200

why are you installing an Audigy onto an nForce motherboard? I rather thought the on-board sound was as good as, if not better than, the Audigy range?

7 of 9 did not load far enough to give error message. in safe mode only loaded half of the drivers and then stopped !

How long did you let it sit when going into safe mode? Cause sometimes it can take up to 10 or 15 minutes I've noticed as it's loading up everything differently and has to do so on a per basis type deal.

Not a big thing now seeing as you've already formatted, but hopefully you won't have to format again if something causes a problem.

i also tried comand promt trying to see if i could remove sb drivers but only got 22 lines up then it did nothing safe mode was the same
