Thanks for the welcome eh!

Went to check my stats this morning and discovered that i accidently joined the mac team when i was changing mny profile last nite. :) I'm back now and coming up after all of you. :D

What programs do you run with the client for stats/caching?

Hi Zeke! C'mon in and get comfy!

I usually use the DF GUI (http://gilchrist.ca/jeff/dfGUI/) for monitoring and managing the client. Almost everything can be changed by checking the boxes, so it is very user-friendly.

Good morning Zeke...more on the DF GUI in regards to the newest release V2.1....I know Stargazer hasn't had the best success with it, while V2.0 seems to be a dream.

I'm not sure if anyone else has any opinions on this one way or the other...

Again, Welcome to Team Ninja and if you have any more questions at all feel free to ask away :)

thanks again eh! :)

I've got version 2.0 dfgui running now fairly painlessly. Now i'm wondering how many structures per minute is fast? Here is a screenshot (http://www.chowtron.com/dfgui.jpg) of my interface.

That's almost exactly what I'm getting out of my XP2400+. You'll squeeze a few more out of that if you turn on Quiet Mode. It just doesn't show any output on the DOS window.. worth turning on.

You picked a good day to join though we're having a protein change but I see you're using W2K so it should go smooth for you.

Thanks for the tip Chelle. ;) Quiet mode engaged. Why are protein changes good?

I'm not sure if anyone else has any opinions on this one way or the other...I've had some glitches with v2.1 I didn't have with v2.0. I only upgraded one machine. Think I may roll it back. :)

They're good if your client updates smoothly :D I've only had problems on my WinXP machine. Hopefully we'll get another fast protein, too. The big'uns can be a bit of a

Oh, i get it, i think! A different algorithim is required to fold a new protein and it may fold quicker which means more total structures to your credit?

Exactly
