I've just upgraded from Soundblaster Live 5.1 to Audigy2.
First impressions: This card KICKS ASS!!
And I'm only using 2 + 1 speakers. (Altec Lansing)
This card is highly recommended!
And I got it for $119 and it came with Hitman II and Soldier of
fortune II (I'm realy not that much of a gamer howerver Hitman II
goes for $39.99 retail)

Have you tried playing any Midi files on it?
Just curious as to the wave table improvements. ...are they more realistic.

Sorry it took so long to reply as I haven't checked this forum for awhile. I never play midi's. Just mp3's and DVD movies.
The sound is richer or, in other words, has more depth.
(I only encode my own cd's) and can tell the difference between the 2 sound cards. I rarely listen to cd's as mp3's are handier.
