View Full Version : Retirement as Owner

Well folks, what can I say, it's been fun.

After a few long debates with myself (and one or two with Rids) on this subject, I have decided to throw in the towel and step out as Co-Owner of Ninjamicros.com.

The reasons for leaving are my own, but I can assure that it is mostly because of the dreaded "Real Life Syndrome" that I do this. Of course, recent events here have made the decision somewhat easier to make, and I would be lying if I said I didn't have issues with alot that has happened, but I won't leave here on a sour note, so I will just say my goodbyes as admin/owner. I can promise you, however, that you cannot get rid of me that easily, and I will still be here as an active member, and even a moderator, supporting you all. I just can't deal with the responsibility of being an owner anymore.

That all being said, it has been a pleasure and a priviledge serving Ninjamicros.com the way I have. Although no longer a leader here, I will still be around to show my support, and of course, help when I can.

Talon.

Mike, you know how I feel about this; we've talked about it at length. I understand about RL being the priority, but I am still sorry to see it happen.

Hi Mike

I am sorry to hear that you have RL problems and i sincerely hope they get resolved for you soon and life starts to treat you better.

by this post i am not being 2 faced and I will not hide the fact that most ppl already know we do not get on and you alone are the sole and main reason i spend very little time on this forums therefore i will be truthful and say I will not be sorry to see you leave the board as an owner but would be disappointed if you left as a member

my respects to your abilities for what you have materially done for the forums

I am saddened Mike!
The forum's you have run were both great places, fun loving and good to frequent, a reflection of common sense and a sense of fun, things I feel you have in abundance. All to often narrow minded fools spoil good things with a wish to control rather than guide, people like yourself are needed to bring the balance for a healthy online community.
To the best of my knowledge you have never asked anything in return for all the work you have put in. Well I hope gratitude is enough m8e, you have mine!
I hope your problems sort themselves out, my friend.

Just to let everyone know, although Real Life is hectic, I am not in any trouble, or harm, or anything like that. The truth is my schedule is just too much, and is getting tougher, and I needed to "liten my load", if you know what I mean. Thank you all for the kind words, and for your concerns, it really does mean alot to me. This place is my home on the net, like it is for many others, and it makes me feel good to know that I have made a positive impact here. Thanks also to everyone who has pm'ed me with personal thanks, it really makes me feel good.

Tom, as always your post reminds me as to why you are on my ignore list. I don't think you are two faced at all, just completely nuts, which is a whole different thing. Thanks for you semi-kind words, and if there is anything I can ever do to make you stay away more, please god let me know what it is.

Mike,

I know I've told you this already, but there will always be a part of you in Ninjas. It's been great working with you, and I wish you all the very best.

I hope life slows down long enough to stop and smell a rose or two ;)

Hope you stick around for the posts. It's a shame that 'things' interfere with your work here. Thanks for the help, and don't be a stranger.

:sunshine: I will always, "all ways" be at your side my brother....

Should you ever "want" or "need" "anything"... the doctor will make it happen....

We will always be surrounded by people who use "free speech" to it's limits... not to it's intentions....

You've been a great m8 to me laddie; I for one am glad to have gotten to know you some... as to your detractors, they are like so many parasites and flies... without the action of others, their lives would be a VOID, as they would have nothing to be negative about, nor to complain about....

It's rather like a film/movie critic = if we did not make any films, there would be NO film critics. I have found that those who would do little or nothing to help the "many" are the loudest and rudest to the "few" who would.

Talon's detractors are my detractors, Mike's enemies are my enimies... on a more positive final note: Mike's friends are my friends.

As ever my brother: respect, love, & gratitude... the doctor

"Cry havoc and release the cock roaches of war...." [it seemed to fit] :spot:

I'm gladdened to see that "most" people appreciate the efforts you've put in to Ninja over the past months Mike. You can take up your slippers and pipe and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. The goal we strived for was never going to be easy, so many detractors and little in return but you never lost sight of the way and kept Ninja heading in the right direction and for that a lot of people owe you their gratitude - I am most certainly one of them.

Thanks for everything Mike

Hi Mike; I'm glad to see you're not leaving altogether. I think you've done a grand job for the bb and am sure you'll continue to do so as a moderator. :)
