This is a true story...I was working 100 miles from home and needed a phone number from my computer database.

I rang my mother in law who was at my house and who had never used a computer before to talk her through getting me the number.

After ten minutes explaining that what I was asking her to do would not terminally damage either her or the computer i said
"Right, first we need to open a window"

I heard

"ok"; the sound of the phone being put down, footsteps across the living room....and a window being opened......

At that point I decided we could spend weeks looking for a mouse and gave up!!
