Before I say anything else, I want t' emphasise that I'm not considering buying one of these ;) (yet :D)

I just wanted your opinions on the rather.... erm... different case I've linked to below... a case which is now available in the UK.

Be aware that the link immediately takes you to a video demonstration of the case... the only option available from their front page.
Whilst undoubtedly the best way to 'showcase' it (:D), it's rather shortsighted of them IMHO not to provide 'stills' of the case, with the video demonstration as an alternative

Anyways... have a look-see here (http://www.lope.com.tw/i-tee.htm) and tell me what you think

Ah yeah, the old T shaped case :)

I've seen these about. Haven't seen one in the flesh though. Interesting design, but I'm not sure how well it will take off though.

That is one ugly looking case.

It does look like a half decent deisgn for getting at the components though.

Bozo sums up my opinion nicely. Like the functionality but it looks bleh.

Shuttle case not quite in same league, but it's easy to get the lid off (3 thumb screws) and poke around inside. If there was any room that is.

I agree also, very practical specially with those double fans.

It's not as I care what so ever how a case looks like on the other hand !
But it is not standard size either and may be hard to place in a standard computer desk.

well the functionality of it is great and it looks like a very well designed quality piece of kit, ugly as sin tho

Personally .... I like it. It's .... "efficient"

The only problems I can really see so far without being able to look at stills is that the fans are too small, need some serious modding to get another fan or two in there to blow directly onto the board and processor.

The heat is really gonna build up on that sucker because of that design. I wouldn't be surprised to see Case temps of 50C in there with a Overclocked processor.

Saw one today at a PC Fair. The plastic of the case looked very tacky and cheap.

Man that`s one ugly son of a gun ! - but I like it - anything that`s not an off white oblong box has got to be OK:D

Well, The Mac G4 towers do the same thing,.. but the fold out Mobo tray is on the side where it shoud be. I don't see why to have the Mobo tray fold out,.. it needs to be at the back?? Why not hinge the side? Any way,... no I don't like it.

Well, the only site I've found with it so far is this one (http://vanhinsbergh.tripod.com/iteecase.htm), but it's in the UK. I would guess around $200 or so. If you are really interested in it, let me know and I'll find you an American reseller.

It's (also) available in the UK from eBuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=43209) - which is how/where I found out about it in the first place (I get their newsletter) ;)... and/or from Micro Direct (http://www.microdirect.co.uk/companypages/products/cases/pccases/itee/casite4422/casite4422.htm)- that's the 'Maroon' one specifically, but it's available in a range of colours (see below) :)

I also (finally!) found a link to this case on the manufacturers website which doesn't immediately take to to a video. It only has the one view of the case, but it shows you the various colours it's available in :D See here (http://www.lope.com.sg/product/i_tee/i_tee.htm) ;)

As for Stateside resellers Gservo... I ain't been so fortunate on that issue with the searches I've done, so I sent 'Lope' an email asking for a list of resellers/retailers ;) Assuming someone on their site understands English (:D), I'll let you know their response

OK G honey, I tried, I really tried. In desperation, I even e-mailed the manufacturer. This is the response I got.

Dear Rebecca,

Thank you for your e-mail.
We are very sorry to advise you that we don't export this case
to USA now.

Best regards,

Kenny TSai

:( Sorry hon!
