the board boots up fine with a gf3 ti500, but the 4600 wont kick in when i start the board up.
the 4600 is good, i use it in a kg7 system, but in this epox, it is not firing up.
tried reseating it a bunch of times. swapped back to the ti500 and it all boots up as it should. but the 4600 isnt doin it's thang.
ideas?
thanks

Could be a voltage thing.
I know the older Epox boards (such as my 8K7A+) have dodgy mosfets which can cause problems with some combinations of hardware.
Might be your PSU as well. Any chance you could them around as a test (providing you don't have the same PSU in each machine).

tried 2 diff psu's that power other systems and still same.

the geforce 4600 is quite a long board, make sure the end is not fouling on any of the caps or ide connectors etc, as this might stop it seating properly;)

the card seats fully, and clear of any componants.
this is a real mystery.

have you tried testing this board in another system, as some mobos will not run this video card:rolleyes:

yes, am using it in this comp, a kg7. i am beginning to suspect that it is a mobo vs card conflict that i will not be able to resolve. unfortunatly.
