Sega's losing money on the Dreamcast?

Odd, as Sega seemed to be one of the systems biggest supporters. What can this mean for the Gamecube?

I wonder if that might also be partially due to Microsoft and their X-box, with their deep pockets Sega might see that as a higher potential growth area.

Sega has been in trouble for years, with momentary bits of good fortune here and there. I think this is signaling the end of what was once a good company. Most likely you are correct Mackerel, I am sure the x-box had alot to do with it. I have played both systems, and i have to say, the xbox is superior, imho.

Xbox is technically superior to ps2 and gc - yet, I have a ps2. There are no "must-have" Xbox games imho... But with some of the recent releases for GC, the big N's library is looking up!

All of them have their pro's and cons. I don't own any of them yet, but I am probably going to get one after the holiday's, so I have been trying them out. So far I have narrowed it down to the X-box and PS2. Still not sure which one I like better though.

Hmm... I was in Software Etc. yesterday night looking to see if Asheron's Call 2 was out yet and checking out the new Metriod game, and the reps there were telling people that they shouldn't buy PS2's because their failure rate is too high and they've been having to ship a ton of them to get repaired. They said that people should buy a Gamecube or Xbox instead because of this. (Or was it because their profit margin on both those systems is higher? ) I haven't seen a PS2 "promo" inside Software Etc. for the past 3 months. Perhaps there is an overstock of Gamecubes and Xboxes? The other day they were all in there playing Timesplitters and they sure didn't seem to mind that it was on a PS2 considering what a blast they were having and how good they said the game looked.
