Hello O'Wise ones!!! :)
I am curious: Is there a way to watch tv on your computer? Do you only need a tv-tuner card? I have no idea, and considering there is only one tv in my room, I NEVER get to watch tv(My girlfriend hogs it!~!!! grrrr! hehe).

So does anyone have any ideas? Also, I have digital cable and I have digital cable boxes....would i somehow need a digital box for my comptuer as well? Just curious! Everyone have a nice night!

Maybe a Hauppage PC TV card might do the trick. Have one and it worked fine until the cable company put a filter on our cable modem line. :D. www.hauppage.com

you should find this info (http://www.tv-cards.com/USB.htm) helpful Baptizer  and Sense-Computers (http://www.sense-computers.com/acatalog/TV_Cards.html) also provide a brief description of the cards they sell as well ;)

The Hauppage cards are excellent. I have one in my PC, and it works pretty well.

It was quite easy to get going under Win2K, but XP was a bit of a nightmare. It is an older card that I bought second hand. The newer cards are probably much easier to setup under XP.

Mine is a PCI card, I didn't fancy the USB style ones. If you don't have an aerial extension near your PC, you should get a booster box and use that in conjunction with a portable TV aerial. That should get you a pretty good picture.

Overall I porefer the ATI All In Wonder cards for TV viewing. But it's not exactly what you asked for as it would replace your existing Video Card. Unless you go with one of their TV Tuner Cards instead which is an addon to your existing Video Card. (I'm an ATI Suppolrter through and through as I live practically down the street from them and like the "Home Brew" companies)
