Time to process 5 candidates:
Duron 1200 with 384MB ram = 3hrs 56min
Athlon 600 with 128MB ram = 2hrs 25min
Does the client run on inverse cpu power or something?
If so, anyone got a few spare 386's? :roflmao:

Like F@H, the client benchmarks the system and supposedly assignes appropriate workunits.

Does that mean that under-clocking during installation would prove beneficial? :D

Maybe, but it does it everytime it connects to the servers, so holding onto the cache and running Dnet, any other program during uploads helps more. ;)

Then why does my 500 PIII get all the 51 atom w00ts, and my XP2000 get all the 15 atom ones?

Are there any benchmarks listed anywhere???
I've just added another small cruiser to the cause (1800+ XP) and it was given
21 atoms. My other 1800 @2000+ was
only given 15 atoms. Doesn't make sense:confused:

There was a big rush on 21's, Mrs Evans from the corner house, the one with the blue curtains and the garden gnome, turned up with a shopping trolley and had the lot! :)

Takes time for it to average out, after a day or two it will settledown to what is right for any given machine and adjust as needed.

Actually, you can "choose" what you consider to be a reasonable number of w00ts to cache, between 10 and 100, by moving the bar at the bottom of the properties display.
So up it to 100, Folks, and wind up those crumchers! :D
