Some of you may have noticed I added TSC under the 3DHQ projects.. as TGC explained in a post this was a team he created prior to the DF team when he was looking at possible projects for 3D Headquarters to run. The team has been sitting dormant since, until a couple people discovered it and jumped on board :p I think it makes a nice alternative project for 3DHQ DF, it's a good cause and doesn't conflict with anything else on the site...

So, now that it's there I guess it needs a moderator. I'd like to ask TGC if nobody has any objections, or if you think it should be polled (?)

Input please :)

I think TGC sounds like a great choice.

No complaints, as long as he stays this time. I don't mean that harshly, inf fact I happen to like the guy, but he does have a habit of leaving when he sees fit. just my opinion.

TGC has really pushed for this and tried to avoid upsetting anyone, however apart from his tendency to move about a bit ;) there also seems to be some needle between him and Rids (IMHO). If TGC becomes mod there are a few comments in a few threads here which might be taken the wrong way.

Funniest thing about moderators...if they leave, you just replace them... :p

I say give him a chance....if he does up and decide to move .... then someone else can take over

Ohhhh...another suggestion would be to remove this thread before he's made official

Well, personal issues aside let's consider who would be a good choice to moderate this project's forum. Since he created it with good intentions and is committed to seeing it run on, it seemed only logical.

If he leaves, like anyone else who leaves, we'll replace him. :dunno: I agree if we do ask him we should remove this thread and any other threat that may cause conflict.

He may not even want to moderate, I haven't asked him yet. I wanted to run it by everyone first.

I'm okay with that, sorry if my previous post was confusing it's getting late and I need my bed ;)

A good choice, if he's willing to take it on!

He has my vote certainly.

It's fine to say "if he leaves, just replace him", but the problem with that is moral of the team, when not only a member, but a moderator, decides to leave, it is never a quiet thing, it always has a lasting effect. And for that reason alone, I have to put my vote against him as moderator. If I am outvoted fine, but I had to say my peace on it.

I understand the concern about TGC's wanderings, but I'm willing to give benefit-of-doubt. However he's not an recent TSC cruncher which would be an obvious benefit.

On that point, Meady is crunching a load of units and is providing most excelent help in the new forum, so IMHO he would be a top choice for a mod there. :)

That's kind of you to say so, Mackerel!

I'm more than willing to accept, if everyone wants me.

Well I don't think we require any "extra" mods on the DC side of ninja, we're already well covered. I propose Meady and Mackerel as both are already already in place and currently running the project. :)

Besides, I like M&Ms :D

This I believe was around the time of the merger and to be honest there was a lot of needle flying around in all directions and some of us took a lot of flak, I just happened to be standing where most people were shooting at :p
I really have no idea why cos I'm lovely really  :roflmao:
