(AP)-John Entwistle, the quiet, efficient bass player who co-founded The Who and helped it become one of the most dynamic and successful rock bands in history, was found dead of an apparent heart attack Thursday in his Las Vegas hotel room. He was 57.
Another sad day for who fans everywhere.:(

A real loss to music as well as to The Who. The Ox is one of the best and most influential bassists of all time. Who could forget his "lead bass" riff on My Generation? Entwhistle was the first bassist that I know of to use a bass guitar in that way.
The Who were one of the first bands I saw live back in the mid sixties and I have very special memories from many of their concerts.
The music world is a far poorer place.
