well after a few teething troubles the active list is working :D
i'm posting this here because some people don't read the front page if mods from other forums (seti/genome) want to post a copy of this in thier domains then feel free.

We have experimented with this before but now we have a permanent connection to power it.

From tonight we have a Ninjamicros ICQ Active list, this can be used as a meeting place for anyone related to the Ninjamicros / Team Picard forums or anyone who just wants a chat. The active list will show all the members that are online (and logged into ICQ) and has facilities such as a chat room, private chat, file transfers etc.

If you don't have ICQ then now is a good time to give it a go try www.icq.com to get the software. To join the actual active list you will need to join active list number 127223809 called (shockingly) Ninjamicros.

If anyone has trouble joining the active list feel free to ICQ me on 96717898.

good job it's actually working then.... i've found a stable setup finally and i havn't had to reset the server for days!

did anyone download icq2001b yet?? I cannot figure out how to rejoin the active list. Not very intuitive.

I've got 2001b but can't find active list anywhere ...anyone any ideas?

yeah i have a few ideas why the active list isn't working.....

i kind of broke my computer about 4 or 5 weeks ago by filling it with water after a failed water cooling experiment (it went moldy :D ) so the old active list is a bit shafted at the moment

a new computer should be winging it's way to me shortly (thanks KMS!) so it'll be up and running soon

no, it's not that the list is down... there is no way to search for or add an active list in the new version... it's as if active lists don't exist. ICQ is starting to suk in my opinion, I actually removed it from my work machine.... I got so many porn links it wasn't funny, I guess give anything good to aol and leave them to mess it up.
