Well, there's another wasted afternoon, IMO.
Racing??? In two and a half hours, I saw ONE overtaking manouvure, by Tukima Sato, albeit a mighty fine one.
But honestly, what was there to watch? A lottery to see who would break down/ crash next?
It's unfortunate that Monaco should've fallen immediately after the Austrian GP and the accompanying fiasco. Eddie Irvine was right when he maintained that the Monte Carlo track as an anathema and should be dropped from the calender - surely the venue cannot be seen as one providing the excitement and drama now craved by an impatient vewing audience. It's a dinosaur. Let it slip away quietly and become extinct...
And as for the commentators now justifying Jean Todt's decision to have Shumi win in Austria, HAVING SEEN COULTARD WIN IN MONACO, well, they're as misguided as the rest of the 'auto'crats.
The fans will have the final word on the one and I suspect they're already voting... with their remote controls!
Tell me I'm wrong...
