Having recently reaquainted myself with that rough stuff know as tar (or blacktop, if you prefer... ;) ), I've had to buy a new helmet and it got me wondering...
Which is your favourite?
I know it's a totally personal thing, 'cos it's dependent on how a particular brand fits your noggin. I've used ARAI since I can remember, but my new lid is made by OSBE. It's a full-face moto-x helmet, which I actually prefer, 'cos I've never been a great fan of visors - will wear goggles if I need to keep my face dry..! The OSBE is certainly cheaper too (a consideration, if I keep having to replace them!) but nowhere near as comfortable.
What have got on your nut..? :D

hi gypseyman,
the price you put on your lid is the price you put on your life m8ee, something i was told when i started racing and something i tend to repeat like a stuck record :)
I've owned & smashed many MX helmets in the 20+yrs i've padded them around my skull but only Answer, Bell & Fox.
The answer was the cheapest and had a detchable mouth guard, which ended up breaking my nose when i took a dive over the bars in a deep sand track at Finningley. My advise avoid detachables and avoid open face helmets they offer no protection at all in a get off, and a 'get off' is why you where them.
Bell - i've owned bell moto4's 5's and 6's, expensive and excellent quality though the air ducts are a little narrow for the UK & its mud. They are designed to destroy themselves in a crash and they really do, they crush rather than your head and let u know in a big way when they need replacing unlike some cheaper lids which can look ok after a spill fooling the owner to don them again.
Fox have it sussed IMO, they've been making race wear & armour for years but only around 4years have they been making helmets and straight in at the top IMO. Quality build like the Bells & removable innnards like the bells (essential for washing after a race), excellent accessories, excellent air flow through the lid - even in the UK's muddy weather.
Cant comment on your lid as ive not heard of them but if your happy with it and it has the relevant stamps its good enough :)

The best I could afford,
My view was how much is your brain worth :p
Don't you dare :D
I got thro 1 or 2 meslef, and it is tempting to buy a cheap one.
But I never did, just as well realy, cos I doubt I would be here,
if I had.

Yeah on the visor,
I like the way that they are so lite these days, without losing any strength,
Colour is the most important part :p
something you can see from the moon.

Jed ;)
