Um,
is that the series with Lenox Lewis in?? lol
Anyway, how can it be Hercules without his short side kick dude?
Isn't Andromeda both a ship and a kung-fu kicking android?
OK, so obviously I have seen 2 whole episodes, lol. Maybe someone else would be better placed to answer this question.... :D

The Andromeda is a ship from the Commonwealth that was caught in the gravity well of a Black Hole for 300 years... salvaged by renegades only to find the captain and ship - which has a hot looking computer - is alive and kicking still, due to the time difference on the rim of the blackhole, Dillon Hunt (Captain) has only been down there for moments - but the Commonwealth is gone over the 300 years and kaos rules. He sets off on a mission to restore order to the known galaxy in the only surviving ship of the forgotten era....
...roughly speaking :D - its now on season 2, Sky one, Wedneday 8pm.

yep thats the guy. I wonder how much stuff he actually wrote. I saw a bit of Andromeda on channel 4 this afternoon. Am I right in saying that the Nietzscheans destroyed the Commonwealth? Nietzsche was the principle philosopher opposed to Christianity.... hmmmm... (ps religion and sci-fi connections isnt an obsession of mine I promise)

Well it's a story about one guy trying to look cool in a naff uniform while surounded by lovely ladies one of whome wears leather alot. The ship is so powerful it's always knackered, matches story line. The eye candy covers a few weaknesses though.;)

I have only seen roughly 5 episodes, and it might be getting better (saw them almost a year ago now). However, I was disappointed. The setup was so cool. Neithcheizinghiashgnian-whoits battled order and civilization and won. Now it's hundreds of years later. Very, very cool concept. But, it's not adhered to enough.
Basically, the show is a poor man's Farscape. :/

Have to agree with Spec on this one. The concept was very, very cool. The execution during the first season was . . . lacking. Haven't watched since then.
