my cpu is a xp1700+ which is o/c on fsb 137 =1.52 gig..
when i check system properties it reads amd athlon[tm]xp 1800+..
a couple of questions.. what does the [tm] stand for and why does it
now read 1800+:rolleyes: any ideas guys...

[tm] = Trade mark
XP 1800+ = 11.5 X 133 FSB or you duplicated the total MHZ of an 1800+ by increasing the FSB. If you increase it further it will become an 1900+ then a 2000+ and so on.

Yep, the BIOS reads what frequency the cpu runs at, looks that up in its database ( ;) ) and finds that the closest match for that frequency is a 1800+ :)
