I spoke to Allen tonight of F5 when the site was down this evening.... Apparently there was a major router outage and they've been working very hard to get us back up and running....Many many appologies are sent to us from Allen.

He asked that I let everyone know that they are hoping to move the site from the present server to a brand new one tonight....

Now, what this means for us is that the site may be unavailable at some point...he couldn't give me a definate time...you know how that works anyway....and with any luck, by tomorrow morning, navigation will be much quicker.

Keep your fingers crossed...

Again, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The server move is complete for the most part. Please let me know if you do not see a major difference in the speed of the site now.

The speed is good but the board is missing about 8 hours woth of posts. The same thing has happened at LiquidNinjas

I just spoke to Allen again, and he said when they re-directed the server it didn't take for everyone....hence the missing posts. There is still the double boards, but an admin would have to go and move the posts over one at a time. Sorry, I can't do that for this board...but I'll get in touch with someone who can.

UPDATE: It seems anything posted after 6:30ish am is on the other board. I'm talking to Nanobot now and trying to get this resolved.
It'll get straightened out, but maybe not before tonight.

So will it rectify itself or does an admin actuall have to move it.

Someone with server access has to actually move them by hand one at a time. I'll log off here in a second and call Michelle and let her know what's going on....tho I'm sure it'll have to wait until later this evening.

You should notice a substantial improvement in speed, this new box is much more stable and powerful.

We'll work on getting those lost posts restored today...

here is going to be a slight slowdown due to us recompiling apache...shouldnt take long, so if it gets slow, you know why.
