Ian had almost convinced me to uninstall the old modem ..but..but..but...I was sooooooooooooooo afraid. I'm so not one for taking chances....usually ;)

So tonight I'm fixing dinner and Bubba called....I sit down at the 'puter and just start clicking through things....(multi-tasking is such a wonderful thing....really!) And low and be-freaking-hold....I just clicked something, then something else...then...then....HERE I AM!!! No problem what so ever. Still have the old modem installed....AOhelL even identified the new modem and set it up....I KNEW IT HAD TO BE EASIER THAN I WAS MAKING IT...

Now, the only thing I don't know how to do...which is the whole point of this V.92 modem...is how to answer incoming calls...or put my connection on hold so I can call out if the need should arise.

I have an order in with the phone company to install a second line..I have until Wednesday to cancel it....LOL

So...Ian..you're off the hook of trying to figure this out by Tuesday...I've got the hard part figured out...now it's time to figure out how to work the dang thing LOL I just printed out the 32 page manual....whoohooo...happy reading :sunshine:

A note to the "anti-multi-tasking police" and you know who you are...this just goes to show that we can't give too much attention to one thing or we can't do it right...MWAH!!!
